Yoga Series for Plus-Size Women
All classes are offered via Zoom - you can practice yoga from your living room! Each series is offered exclusively for plus-size women who are curious about exploring the ways that yoga can help them form a healthy, nourishing relationship with their bodies. Our Level 1 Series is for women who are new to yoga or desire a gentler practice, and our Level 2 Class is for women who have completed the first series or who are familiar with yoga and wish to continue developing their yoga practice. Healthier, Happier Hips focuses on, you guessed it, taking care of our hips!
Classes are offered several times a year and taught in the Viniyoga tradition, a gentle form of yoga that is adapted to the comfort and ability of each student.
NOTE: All participants will need to complete the Information Sheet and Waiver of Liability prior to their first class.

BYB Level 1: for beginners or women who prefer a gentler practice.
This six-week series will guide plus-size women who are new or returning to yoga through practices using adaptations and props to support their unique bodies. Series bonuses include permanent access to additional practice videos and audio recordings.
BYB Level 2: for women who are familiar with yoga, have taken BYB 1, or have enjoyed this community over the years!
You will need a yoga mat and a blanket for this class. You might find a strap/non-stretchy belt, a block, and/or a bolster helpful if your muscles are very tight. We may also incorporate some of your furniture!
BYB: Healthier, Happier Hips!
This popular series was created in collaboration with Karen Calara of The Next Step Physical Therapy and focuses specifically on the hips of larger-bodied women. In this series you will discover how and why our hips are unique - and how to strengthen and stabilize them! Each class begins with a brief lesson and will then move into a complete yoga practice where you will experience what you have learned.
All new participants will need to complete the Information Sheet and Waiver of Liability prior to their first class.
