As the pandemic continues, we are grieving so many losses on a global level. This six-week series now offered via Zoom offers students a variety of yogic tools to help them navigate the very individual and unpredictable process of grieving. Classes will be taught via Zoom. Each class will begin with a brief information session, and then we will practice. No yoga experience is necessary for this class. You will need a yoga mat and a blanket. I will have suggestions for other props to aid in your comfort. The series is taught in the Viniyoga tradition, a gentle form of yoga that is adapted to the comfort and ability of each student.
- Please note that I am not a therapist or counselor. The exercises you learn in this series can work well in conjunction with counseling.
- If you have suffered an acute loss within the past 6 months, please contact Marcie before the start of the series so we can be sure timing is right for you.
No experience necessary!
This class will be offered again in 2021. Please contact Marcie if you would like to be notified when it's open for registration.
During the pandemic, classes will be held via Zoom. In normal times, classes are located at Phinney Ridge Yoga in the lower redbrick building of the Phinney Neighborhood Association. There's a parking lot and street parking is also available.
